1910s Silk Mourning Ensemble
This Edwardian mourning ensemble is exquisite! The silk is heavy and shimmery, and the ensemble is very well made and perfectly wearable. The skirt is especially beautiful, with French knot embroidery on the front and pleating down the sides, and braided/looped trim accents. Button closure.
The blouse has an adorable pointed sailor-style collar, and snap closures off to the side on the front.
What I love about this ensemble is that each piece can be worn separately for a more modern look. They really are beautifully tailored and made to last.
There is a white mark on one of the sleeves, and one on the skirt, as noted in the photos. I'm not sure if they will wash out, but they aren't very noticeable.
Skirt is 12 1/2" across waist; 31 1/2" long.
Blouse, measured across bust: 20"
20 1/2" sleeve length
13 1/2" long.
