Edwardian Silk Mourning Blouse
Beautiful 1910s silk embroidered blouse with an elegant silhouette created by a boned waist. The embroidery is done in multiple strands of matching black silk in a modern-looking geometric design. The net cuffs and collar are embroidered with bronze metal threads. The back of the blouse fastens with hook and eye closures.
As you can see in the last photo, the silk has shattered some on the inside of the blouse, and there are some loose pieces of lining that hang down from the waist, but can easily be trimmed or sewn. I will leave that up to its new owner. Neither of these flaws are noticeable; overall a gorgeous and very wearable piece!
A couple of the hook and eyes need to be restitched/replaced.
