Pleasures of Life - Handmade Journal
I'm so excited to share these handmade journals with you, which I slowly make in small batches with repurposed covers from antique books. Each one is unique, featuring different cover designs, stitch patterns, and materials.
Pleasures of Life features an exquisite Art Nouveau cover design of blossoms and swirling tendrils, and is sewn with natural linen thread and two reclaimed leather “tapes” for added support and durability. The inside covers are lined with beautiful handmade Lokta paper.
The journal is filled with 78 sheets (156 pages) of 80 lb Strathmore recycled drawing paper, hand-cut for a lightly deckled edge. It's a very nice weight, soft white, and acid free - perfect for writing, drawing, and possibly light watercolor washes. The flexible binding allows the book to open completely flat.
Measures 4” x 6”.
I hope you'll create something you can treasure!
