Romola - Handmade Journal
I'm so excited to share these handmade journals with you, which I slowly make in small batches with repurposed covers from antique books. Each one is unique, featuring different cover designs, stitch patterns, and materials.
Romola features the gorgeous purple cloth covers with scrolling gilt designs, and is sewn with natural linen on three reclaimed leather “tapes” for added durability and support. The covers are lined with handmade Lokta paper.
Filled with 80 sheets (160 pages) of 80 lb Strathmore recycled drawing paper, hand-cut for a lightly deckled edge. It's a very nice weight, soft white, and acid free - perfect for writing, drawing, and possibly light watercolor washes. The flexible binding allows the book to open completely flat.
Measures 4 3/4” x 7 5/8”.
I hope you'll create something you can treasure!
